Khazana Jewellery launched an exclusive store on the Temple Street here in Wednesday.

It was the first jewellery showroom in Kakinada where each and every ornament is hallmarked by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Film actress Ileana D Cruz inaugurated the showroom by lighting a lamp. On the occasion, Ms. Ileana said she was privileged to be a part of the inaugural of the Khazana store and hoped that it would perfectly fit for the Kakinada market where quality and appearance play an important role in the buyers’ decision making process.

Unique feature

Khazana Jewellery managing director Kishore Jain said Khazana was the first in India to introduce a photo-guarantee card which ensures that the customers do not lose even a single rupee in gold value while selling or melting the ornament. The Rs. 1,000-crore company, Khazana has own designers and manufacturing units at Chennai, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Rajkot.

Ileana D’cruz opened the Khazana Jwellers exclusive showroom by formally lighting a lamp here on Saturday. The Khazana Jewellery has five showrooms in the State and this is the sixth and the only one offering BIS Hallmark ornaments in Guntur, said its Managing Director Kishore Jain.

A large number of people gathered outside new showroom in the 4th Lane of Brodipet in the city to have a glimpse of their favourite star . A battery of lensmen and videographers followed the actress clad in heavily embroidered red coloured saree.

After inaugurating the shop, she went round all the counters beginning with diamond-studded jewellery.

Ileana said she was happy to be associated with Khazana Jewellers as she believed they offer trendiest varieties and ensure quality.

The showroom offers photo-guarantee and ‘Lowest-price-India Guarantee’ with a full refund on gold, platinum, diamond and all contemporary jewellery ornaments, said Mr. Jain.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Fans mobbed popular Tollywood star Ileana when she attended a brief ceremony to inaugurate the new-look showroom of Khazana Jewellery in the city on Saturday.

Following publicity blitzkrieg, several fans of Illeana, who became popular after success of Devadas, Pokiri and Aata in which she played the lead role, thronged the showroom to have a glimpse of her.

Braving the inclement weather, some of the fans also sought autographs. Police as well as the private security engaged by Khazana escorted her to the showroom.

At the time of inauguration, there was jostling among the fans, some photographers and television crew and customers. Later she was provided a security ring to get into her car.

Sporting a maroon embroidered sari, the dazzling actor hailing from Goa was accompanied by her mother left after going round the sales counters.

Expansion spree

Khazana Jewellery Managing Director Kishore Jain told reporters later that they had added one more floor to the existing showroom to cater to the needs of the customers in a better way.

He said they were expecting a turnover of Rs.1,000 crores this year. Showrooms would come up at Guntur and Rajahmundry in the State, six in Tamil Nadu and 14 elsewhere during the current year.

Mr. Jain said they were expecting to register a turnover of Rs.2,000 crores next year with plans to open 50 showrooms.
